The 2023 MMSI Chicago Show featured a special exhibit of the box dioramas that club members Joe Berton, Jim DeRogatis, Barry Biediger, Darryl Audette, Dennis Levy, and Jerry Hutter secured at auction the previous summer and restored to their original splendor. The exhibit represented the biggest display ever in one place at one time of Sheperd Paine’s classic box dioramas (ten of the twenty-five he built), as well as work by Peter Twist and Spencer Van Gulick.
